Manchester United are preparing a transfer bid for Rasmus Hojlund and are set to welcome Andre Onana for his medical, while Erik ten Hag has bolstered his options by signing Jonny Evans on a short-term basis
Manchester United surprised us all by making Jonny Evans their second summer signing on Tuesday, but their third and fourth additions could follow in quick succession.
Evans, 35, has rejoined the Red Devils for his second spell at the club, penning a short-term contract which will allow him to feature in pre-season friendlies such as today’s against Lyon, as he remains a free agent. The three-time Premier League winner could soon be joined by Andre Onana, who’s waved goodbye to Inter Milan and is flying over for a medical ahead of his £44million transfer.
United are already shifting their focus to Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, who’s agreed an outline for personal terms on a potentially lucrative contract and is due to be the subject of a bid worth around £60m. Meanwhile, not to forget, the takeover race is still on as Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe await to hear back from the Glazers regarding their latest proposals.
