Manchester United youngster Nathan Bishop was involved in a bruising encounter with Wrexham star Paul Mullin during a pre-season clash and may not be a Red Devil for much longer
Manchester United starlet Nathan Bishop is set to leave the club after leaving Wrexham striker Paul Mullin with a punctured lung.
The Red Devils academy graduate produced a reckless challenge during a youthful United side’s 3-1 defeat to the League Two side in the USA. The pair collided during the first-half of the clash, with Mullin feeling the consequences more severely.
He was given oxygen on the pitch before being helped off by medical staff and was then transported to hospital. Former Red Devil and current Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster gave his view on the incident and had sympathy with his opposite number.
Speaking to The Telegraph, he said: “I feel so bad for Nathan, he’s absolutely heartbroken. I passed Paul’s number onto Nathan so he can get in touch with him but, yeah, he’s absolutely gutted. I feel for the lad.”
