Man Utd star limps out of stadium on crutches after injury in Arsenal friendly

Amad Diallo limped out of the MetLife Stadium on crutches (Image: Twitter: @SimonPeach) It could be curtains for Amad Diallo’s pre-season as the 21-year-old was filmed limping out of the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on crutches after Manchester United’s 2-0 triumph over Arsenal on Saturday. Diallo was substituted off just 13 minutes after coming as he suffered an injury to his ankle/Achilles area. And it appears to be quite a nasty one with the Ivory Coast international unable to put any weight on his left foot which was heavily bandaged as he made his way to the team bus. Diallo was brought on by Ten Hag at halftime but went down under no contact in the 55th minute clutching his left ankle. Facundo Pellistri was brought on to replace him four minutes later as the Red Devils saw out the most impressive performance of their pre-season campaign so far. Fernandes opened up the scoring at the half-hour mark with a strike from outside of the box before Jadon Sancho quickly doubled the Red Devils’ lead seven minutes later. United and Arsenal then squared off in a post-match penalty shoot-out which was won 5-3 by Erik ten Hag’s men after Fabio Vieria skied his penalty over the bar.
