Manchester United’s takeover has taken a fresh twist with Sir Jim Ratcliffe launching a fresh bid for the club, while Sheikh Jassim remains set on a full buy-out of the Glazers
Manchester United are turning their attention to the Champions League in the hope that it provides some relief from their wretched Premier League form.
Having suffered a 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich in their opener, Erik ten Hag’s side will be hoping to bounce back when they host Galatasaray at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening. However, they will have to do it without Lisandro Martinez, with the centre-back set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The potential takeover of the club has also been sparked into life, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe now pursuing a minority stake in the club, rather than majority ownership. His main rival Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani though remains intent on replacing the much-hated Glazers.
