Manchester United suffered their third defeat in five Premier League matches as the Red Devils suffered a damaging loss at home to Brighton on Saturday afternoon
Manchester United’s mixed start to the season continued as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Brighton on Saturday.
The Red Devils were beaten at Old Trafford courtesy of strikes from Danny Welbeck, Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro, with Hannibal Mejbri scoring United’s only goal of the game.
This is the first time United have lost three out of their opening five Premier League matches in the competition’s history, with the Red Devils winning the other two against Wolves and Nottingham Forest.
The result leaves United in 13th and six points behind fourth-place Brighton in the Premier League table. United are next in action when they travel to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.
