The potential move comes just less than a year after Pellistri was urged to leave the club for good by his compatriot, Gus Poyet. The former Chelsea and Tottenham ace was convinced that Pellistri would not get regular action under incoming manager Erik ten Hag. "Pellistri will struggle to get game time," Poyet told Midnite before the World Cup finals last September. "It would be good for him to go somewhere and play because the World Cup is around the corner and he is very important for the Uruguay team because the coach [Diego Alonso] has lots of faith in his ability, he's a proper winger."
