Man Utd have two right-back transfer targets as Dalot competition eyed

Manchester United have two right-back transfer targets in Max Aarons and Jeremie Frimpong, according to reports. Diogo Dalot has been sensational for the Red Devils this season but Erik ten Hag wants somebody to keep the Portugal international on his toes, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka deemed not good enough. And it’ll be interesting to see the Glazers let the Dutchman splash the cash in January.Manchester United have started to tick along nicely under Ten Hag, who has guided his side to fifth in the Premier League table after a rocky start to the season. However, the Dutchman knows more is required if his side are to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal for the league title this term.Wan-Bissaka has made just one appearance for the club so far this season, with injuries hampering him at Old Trafford, and there’s a sense he’ll be cut loose when the transfer window reopens in January.According to The Sun, Aarons and Frimpong are two of the players Ten Hag is eyeing as he seeks a potential upgrade.Aarons was linked with United back in the summer, shortly after Norwich City’s relegation to the Championship, and he remains a regular under Dean Smith at Carrow Road.Man Utd transfers: Plans for next three signings are damning on Solskjaer Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag wants good competition for Diogo Dalot (Image: GETTY) Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag wants more transfer backing in January (Image: GETTY) Man Utd have transfer interest in Norwich City star Max Aarons (Image: GETTY)Bruno Fernandes has also been a hit ever since his move from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window of 2020.But the likes of Zoran Tosic, Dong Fangzhou, Alexis Sanchez and Diego Forlan never lived up to expectations at the club.Ten Hag, meanwhile, recently suggested Wan-Bissaka wasn’t in his plans by suggesting Dalot needs somebody ‘good’ to keep on his toes.”I’m really happy with the development of Diogo,’ he said after his side’s 1-0 win over West Ham, where Marcus Rashford bagged the winner.”In possession he’s really good, he has the breath to go up and down so the development is really good.WIN A FREE ENGLAND SHIRT FOR THE WORLD CUP!
