Man Utd focus on Sofyan Amrabat in midfielder search but permanent deal unlikely

Manchester United are keen to add two new faces to their squad ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline with Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat on their shortlist and they are attempting to get a deal over the line

Manchester United are prioritising a move for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat as they attempt to sign a midfielder before the deadline.

The Red Devils have been wanting to add more steal to their midfield after an inconsistent start to the campaign. They were said to be looking at a number of options a few days before the window closes.

Former Ajax and current Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch emerged as a frontrunner over recent days. Reports suggested that United were keen on signing the Dutchman on loan, with academy graduate Scott McTominay set to move to the Allianz Arena in the opposite direction.

However, it now appears that won’t be the case, with United now preferring a deal for Moroccan midfielder Amrabat. They have been linked with a move for the Fiorentina star throughout the window and it appeared that he would be on the move.
