Sofyan Amrabat is headed for Manchester United (Image: Getty) Manchester United have made the breakthrough in their pursuit of Sofyan Amrabat after finally agreeing a deal with Fiorentina for the Moroccan. The Red Devils are set land the combative midfielder on an initial loan which includes an option to sign the player permanently next summer for around £22million. Amrabat has been patiently waiting for the chance to move to Old Trafford but he has had to bide his time despite being frozen out at Fiorentina. United will pay an initial loan fee worth around £8.5m and will have an option-to-buy worth £17m plus £4m in add-ons. Although it seems a complex negotiation, United will just be happy to have this deal over the line after weeks of deliberation. The club’s director of football negotiations Matt Hargreaves flew to Florence to get the deal over the line.
