Man Utd fans soaked at Old Trafford as Glazers under pressure to fix leaking roof

It’s not just the ongoing takeover saga that is causing the Manchester United fans to resent the Glazer family, with the stadium at Old Trafford also under scrutiny

As if watching their team get beaten at home by Crystal Palace wasn’t bad enough for Manchester United fans – some were soaked whilst doing so.

But that wasn’t because of any sudden downpours during the 1-0 defeat, that came courtesy of Joachim Andersen’s stunning first half goal. Instead, some supporters were left drenched because of the leaking roof above their heads.

A video posted on social media initially appeared to show rain teeming down on fans, but it was actually because of the structural shambles that currently plagues the 74,000 seater stadium. And fans are in no doubt over who is to blame.

“It was a wet one at Old Trafford today,” read the caption. “The Glazers need to invest in fixing the roof of the stadium.” One Twitter user added: “Scandalous this. The Glazers are using this club as their personal bank but, no funds being spent on maintaining the roof. Glazers out!”
