But transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is reporting that a deal for Onana to join United is now '99.9% completed' and he is set to travel to Manchester imminently. Ten Hag has called Onana up in the past 48 hours to reassure him that there are no issues with the deal and United are confident everything will be rubberstamped in time for the Cameroonian to join the squad when they fly to the United States on Wednesday for their pre-season tour. The Athletic are also reporting that the deal is advancing, with personal terms set to be formalised with the 27-year-old later today. Onana is already believed to have an outline agreement with United and is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year deal.
