Man Utd charged by FA after incident late in Chelsea draw at Stamford Bridge

Manchester United have been hit with an FA charge for failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during their clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last Saturday.

The incident occurred in the 84th minute after referee Stuart Attwell awarded a penalty to the home side for United’s Scott McTominay grabbing Armando Broja.

The Red Devils players were furious with the decision, with the scoreline goalless at the time, and surrounded Attwell, with the likes of McTominay, Luke Shaw, Fred, Lisandro Martinez and Bruno Fernandes involved in the haranguing of the official.

As a result, the Football Association has charged the club, with United having until Friday this week to respond.
