United have conducted their own internal investigation over Greenwood and reports last week had claimed that the club were preparing to reintegrate the forward to Erik ten Hag's squad. Arnold has acknowledged that Greenwood's potential return was one of 'several outcomes' that United's hierarchy have considered over the past few months. But while Arnold is adamant that Greenwood 'did not commit the acts he was charged with', he believes that the forward's presence at United would provide a 'distraction to the unity we are seeking' at Old Trafford.
