Man Utd blamed for Harry Kane transfer decision after ‘preference’ claim made

Harry Kane made his first appearance against an English club since his transfer from Tottenham to Bayern Munich when his new team faced Manchester United on Wednesday

Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes believe Harry Kane would’ve preferred a move to Manchester United over Bayern Munich – as he scored again on Wednesday night.

Kane converted a penalty to help Bayern beat United 4-3 at the Allianz Arena. The England captain, who also assisted Leroy Sane’s goal, has now scored five times in six games for the German giants since his £100million summer move from Tottenham.

United were linked with Kane but decided to sign Rasmus Hojlund instead, agreeing a £72m deal with Atalanta for his services. Many fans questioned the transfer due to the 20-year-old’s modest record in Italy, scoring just nine Serie A goals last season.

Hojlund scored his first United goal during Wednesday night’s game. Although Ferdinand and Scholes accept the Denmark international has the potential to become a superstar, they believe Ten Hag should’ve signed Kane instead.
