A Staten Island man was shot and killed this weekend just hours after getting ‘life eternal’ tattooed on his arm
A Staten Island man was shot and killed this weekend outside of a bar after trying to break up a fight between two women in a tragic incident with a bit of an ironic twist – the deceased had just gotten a new tattoo the other day that read ‘life eternal.’
Rashiem Flanders, 37, was out enjoying his Saturday night this week after getting some fresh ink and meeting up with friends. On his way home around 4:30 am, he noticed a fight going on at a nearby watering hole.
Near Clinton Avenue, Flanders spotted two women fighting right outside. According to reports, he went right over with no hesitation and proceeded to attempt to stop the arguing and physical violence.
That’s when another man joined in the fray and pulled out a gun, shooting Flanders in the head. Paramedics showed up quickly and took the man to Richmond University Medical Center, where he died, according to law enforcement.
