‘You probably saved her life’
Being a woman can come with a host of problems, not least having to fend off unwanted attention from men. Thankfully, more often than not, kind strangers will often step in and help if they see someone getting harassed in the street.
That’s exactly what happened when a man spotted a woman filling up her car with petrol while asking two men to leave her alone. Clearly uncomfortable with the situation and appearing to be on her own, the man, named Cody Bret, decided to take matters into his own hands and see if she needed assistance.
Taking to Instagram to share the story in the hope of inspiring others to do the same, he wrote: “Today while at the gas station, I overheard a lady in her late 20s telling two other men to leave her alone.” Coming up with a story on the spot, he went over to the woman and asked: “How was the meeting today darling?” Although a little surprised by his question, she carried on the ruse, with him revealing: “She looked at me and said âIt was good, I’ll tell you more about it when we get home in a few’. I replied âWonderful I’ll pick up your favourite for dinner’.
