A man beat his partner of 32 years to death with a ‘heavy hammer’ as she lay in bed, a court has heard.
Colin Milburn, from Anglesey, in Wales, become ‘obsessed’ with the idea Buddug Jones, 48, was having an affair.
The mum-of-four was discovered in her bed with ‘massive and fatal’ head injuries.
Caernarfon Crown Court heard Milburn knocked on a neighbour’s door, claiming she had been ‘attacked’ by someone else.
But prosecutor Gordon Cole KC insisted his behaviour was an ‘act’ because he had killed Ms Jones himself earlier that morning.
