 A blue plaque has been installed to commemorate a man made famous for telling seagulls to 'f**k off'. The honour was cheekily bestowed on Huw Davies, who was renowned for shooing them away with expletives. Huw, from Aberystwyth in Wales, was previously memorialised with a joke plaque on his favourite bench after he passed away. The tribute read: 'In loving memory of Huw Davies, Used to sit here and shout, F**k off! at the seagulls.' It was removed by council bosses who said it was installed without permission following a report. The joke plaque bearing his name has since been spotted near the sea front, saying: 'Huw Davies. Taxidermist & Swearing Enthusiast Lived Here.' He tweeted: 'By some distance the best park bench memorial I've ever encountered.' James' post went viral but workers at Aberystwyth Castle were mystified as to when the plaque was installed or how the wording would have been approved by council officials. I can't see how this would have been allowed by anyone. It's anti-social behaviour really. Someone must have done this themselves.' Ceredigion Council, who are in charge of all benches in the county, said it had been previously unaware of the plaque but were taking action. A spokesperson said: 'An unauthorised plaque had been placed, by an unknown person, on an existing bench within Aberystwyth Castle grounds. The plaque has been removed.'
