A thug who bit a policeman’s ear and spat in his face during a violent scuffle has been jailed for three years.
Kalvin Stemp, 25, also bit the officer’s arm as he resisted attempts to arrest him on suspicion of drug offences.
Landscape gardener Stemp, was approached by two uniformed officers in a car park in Maidstone, Kent, last year when they smelt cannabis coming from his direction, a court heard.
They told Stemp he was being detained for a drugs search, but the situation quickly escalated into violence as Stemp tried to flee the scene.
When the officers tried to restrain him Stemp’s pals started kicking, punching and pushing officers around as they tried to help their friend escape.
