Man arrested for sniffing women’s bottoms in bookstore is freed despite criminal record

A man was caught on video bending down to sniff women from behind in a bookstore and arrested – but days later, authorities let him go despite his lengthy criminal record

A woman went viral on TikTok when she accidentally captured an alleged predator on camera who was crouched down behind her pretending to tie his shoe – but the playback showed that he was actually extremely close and sniffing her from behind.

The man was later identified as 36-year-old Calese Carron Crowder, and he’s back on the streets after being arrested despite a lengthy criminal record.

In the video, filmed by Michaela Witter, she shows herself going on a ‘solo date’ to a Barnes and Noble bookstore in California. She managed to capture herself allegedly being stalked throughout the store by Crowder, who eventually gets up right behind her, prompting her to turn around and confront him.

She noticed that he was smelling her while bending over and even filmed him doing it to another woman, who seemed unaware of what was happening. Michaela got scared and reported him to the front desk. Store managers called in the authorities who later arrested him, but then let him go without any charges.
