 A man accused of being the 'Somerset Gimp' has denied jumping out on two women while dressed in latex. Joshua Hunt, 32, is charged with leaping out at the shocked victims while wearing a rubber gimp outfit, a court heard. He appeared at North Somerset Magistrates' Court today to deny two public order offences. The defendant, of Brook Farm, Claverham, Somerset, had approached the two lone females on May 7 and May 9 this year in the Bleadon area, magistrates were told. Hunt, who was today (Tues) dressed in a white shirt and beige trousers shook his head as the charges were read to him. The Section 4 public order offences against him stated he used threatening, and abusive behaviour that led both victims to fear violence would be used against them. Chair of the magistrates, Eileen Westwood told Hunt: 'You pleaded not guilty to these offences and your case has been listed for a district judge to hear on 16 August for a case management hearing. 'We are going to address the matters against you until that date. You are free to go.' Hunt was told to next appear at Taunton Magistrates Court on August 16.
