Confirming Sharon's return, actress Jessica Muschamp, who played the role between 1988 and 1990 and again last year, revealed all in a video shared to Neighbours' official UK social media channels. 'Hey Neighbours fans, guess what? Shazza's back! At least for a little while. It's going to be so much fun and I cannot wait for you to see it.' Our hearts are full. Jessica was also quick to thank fans for saving the show. Neighbours, as fans will know, was controversially axed last year by Channel 5, who partially funded the series. The star-studded finale, which featured the return of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce, was watched by millions. The reason for Sharon's upcoming return remains shrouded in mystery, though we can't help but wonder if its got something to do with her old friend Melanie, who has been mysteriously absent since Neighbours returned to screens, despite actress Lucinda being a full-time cast member.
