Police swarmed over the site at Bramley Moore Dock as builders were told to leave the site at around 12.30pm on August 14 after reports of a serious incident. The Liverpool Echo reported that road and air ambulances both attended the scene shortly after the incident was reported. The North West Ambulance Service has confirmed a patient was taken to hospital from the site and the police remain in attendance. Workers told the Liverpool Echo that they were asked to leave the construction site but said they couldn’t share any details about why. A team of builders has been working on Everton’s new stadium in the city’s north docks since mid-2021 as the team prepare to move from Goodison Park. Laing O’Rourke had been appointed as the main contractor in charge of the stadium which is predicted to have a capacity of over, 52,000 people. Once finished, the stadium will also feature a fan plaza and four stands.
