 role in Al Chapman's (Michael Wildman) demise has expanded yet again in Emmerdale, with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) finding out the truth. Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) confided in her brother, after discovering that Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) had left the eponymous village with Kyle in tow, shortly after he had a fight at school. Mack dropped by Butlers farm to see how Moira was doing in the wake of Cain's (Jeff Hordley) arrest and imprisonment – and thus he was present when Moira received a phone call from Kyle's school, questioning the child's absence. It didn't take Moira long to put two and two together as she checked Kyle's room and subsequently attempted to retrieve his passport, only to find out that it was missing. Mackenzie, meanwhile, was certain that there was more to Moira's panicky behaviour than meets the eye, and thus he demanded that she explain what was going on. Left with little choice, Moira sat her sibling down and told the truth, revealing that Kyle was the one who shot Al – not Cain. The revelation left Mack speechless, and he began to question why she didn't just come clean, but Moira revealed that she had investigated the possibility of doing so and concluded that it wasn't a risk worth taking. Mack proved supportive and helpful as he assisted Moira in dealing with the fallout of Amy and Kyle's departure, telling everyone that Amy's sudden reason for vanishing was in relation to her discovery that Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) is her sister. A plausible cover story, given Amy's strong reaction to the news last week. But with the list of people who know about Kyle's role in Al's death growing with every episode, one can't help but wonder if Mack will spill the beans? Will it be he who reveals all, accidentally or otherwise? Or will he protect the secret with his life? Only time will tell. Emmerdale continues Friday November 11 at 7:30pm on ITV.
