Alexander Lukashenko is believed to have kicked out members of the Wagner Group out of Belarus. The close ally of Vladimir Putin had agreed to have the mercenaries set up camp in his country after their attempted coup against the Russian leader in July. But reports have now emerged suggesting Lukashenko refused to finance their stay in the country and the mercenaries are being “bussed” back to Russia . Twitter user @ChrisO_Wiki said Telegram conversations are suggesting Evgeny Prigozhin’s men are no longer welcome in Belarus. He wrote: “The Wagner Group is reported to have effectively been kicked out of Belarus, with thousands of its remaining fighters being bussed back into Russia . “The Belarusian leader, Alexander Lukashenko, is reported to have refused to finance Wagner’s stay in his country. “The VChK-OGPU Telegram channel reports that Wagner fighters are being taken by bus from their camps in Belarus in batches of 500-600 to Voronezh, Rostov and Krasnodar in Russia . “The first stage of the withdrawal has already taken place and a second will begin after August 13.” We’ll be bringing you the very latest updates, pictures and video on this breaking news story.
