"Her wicked sense of entitlement and abuse of her role as a trusted nurse is a scandal. Lucy Letby. You failed God and the plans he had for (Child D). You even called it fate. You were clearly disconnected with God." The mum was making reference to a court exchange between Letby and her barrister, Ben Myers KC, which occurred during her trial. She was asked for her thoughts on "what the parents have gone through", to which she replied: "It's unimaginable." During today's sentencing hearing, Child D's mum also told the court that she asked for her medical notes and met with doctors and management from the Countess of Chester Hospital.
