According to new data released by Airbnb, one of the UK’s top trending seaside destinations is Allerdale in Cumbria. Although Allerdale Borough Council was abolished in 2023, many people still know the area under its former name. Allerdale now falls under the Cumberland authority. Tourists heading to the Allerdale region will be able to explore the Solway Coast and several pretty coastal towns. One of the area’s top rated seaside towns is charming Silloth, a former Victorian seaside resort. Silloth is also home to one of the region’s best golf courses and has been described as a birdwatchers’ paradise.
