Love Island’s Paige Turley talks braving the red carpet as a singleton

Scottish singer Paige Turley , who has recently released catchy new single Lonely Tonight with LEØN TARØ, won the sixth series of Love Island in 2020 alongside ex-boyfriend Finn Tapp. In an interview last week with Express.co.uk the ITV fan favourite revealed that, since embracing single life again, it’s been a new kind of challenge attending lots of star-studded showbiz events by herself.  However, thanks to her dad, Paige doesn’t need to worry about walking the red carpet alone.  ‘We’ve always had each other going to events and stuff,’ she explained about her ex-partner. ‘Or even on red carpets – you’re standing and you’ve got that support of each other.’ Recalling braving the red carpet alone for the first time, she continued: ‘I think it was probably my first red carpet event afterwards, where it was a big moment.  Paige Turley is back with a hot new single (Image: GETTY) ‘You don’t realise how used to each other you are [and] how much you rely on each other.  ‘So that was a moment where I was like, ‘Oh, okay we’re just rolling with the punches here.’  ‘And learning how to pose all by yourself – it’s just something as simple as that,’ Paige admitted.  However, the singer went on to add that her dad is thrilled to join her at events instead, revealing that she has a good support network around her.  Paige Turley won Love Island in 2020 (Image: ITV) ‘I’ve started taking my dad as a plus one now to events,’ she revealed. ‘He’ll come to the red carpet events and he’s quite happy about that! So that’s all worked out well.’ After winning the sixth season of Love Island Paige has stepped away from reality TV to put all of her efforts into music and has recently released an exciting new single.  The star has joined forces with Toronto-based artist LEØN TARØ to create a powerful anthem about self-confidence and life’s most joyful moments.  Her vocals shine through on the track, which features an uplifting piano melody and some feel-good lyrics.  Produced by Rich Pilkington, the single has been released via Berlin-based Place Called Home. Speaking about the new single, which she says she has been ‘super proud’ to share with her friends, Paige said: ‘I think we actually managed to nail it out in about three hours.
