Jess Harding and Sammy Root were the winners of Love Island 2023 and they have now shared more details about their blossoming romance in a new interview since their win
Love Island winner Jess Harding has hit back at cruel trolls who slated her appearance on the ITV2 show â while boyfriend Sammy Root has praised her natural looks.
The loved up couple were the surprise winners of Love Island 2023 â claiming the victory to snatch the £50,000 prize fund and be crowned the winning couple of the season. They beat off bookies favourites Lochan Nowacki and Whitney Adebayo â but their route to the finale was far from plain sailing.
Jess was one of the original Islanders where she was initially paired with 24-year-old George Fensom. But then 22-year-old Sammy arrived on day four and he and Jess coupled up. They later split and dated other people, only to unite on Day 37 â and then made it all the way to the final and won.
During the final episode of the season, 22-year-old Jess was targeted by cruel trolls who criticised her outfit. Speaking to OK! Magazine, Jess said the criticism left her shaken â but she took confidence in the fact she felt she looked great.
