Easther and Vernie Bennett’s manager says his clients have been mirepresented in row over trans issues
The former manager of the 90s girl group Eternal has defended the band’s Christian members amid the row over their objections to trans issues.
Denis Ingoldsby, the band’s original manager after their formation in 1992, accused Louise Redknapp of throwing bandmates Easther and Vernie Bennett “under the bus” following the high-profile row over the tour.
It marks the latest development in the saga after Redknapp, 48, the biggest star to emerge from the group, backed out of a planned reunion tour after claims the Bennett sisters had refused to play LGBT festivals and events because of issues with the trans lobby.
Ingoldsby, who manages Easther and Vernie, said that their views had been “misrepresented” and “weaponised” as he accused Redknapp of an effort to get them cancelled.
