Lost dog hands herself in at police station in emotional moment caught on CCTV

Rosie the border collie was reported missing after she ran off on a walk, then one hour later she wandered through the doors at Loughborough police station to hand herself in

A dog who went missing on a walk handed herself over to police to be reunited with her worried owner. A CCTV camera captured the astonishing moment Rosie the border collie wandered through the automatic doors of Loughborough police station and waited to be seen.

Rosie had been out on a stroll with her owner and another dog in Loughborough, Leicestershire, on Friday when she suddenly ran off and couldn’t be found. Her owner desperately searched for her then panicked when Rosie didn’t return home. However, an hour later, she was back in safe hands after a miraculous call from the police.

The amazing video shows Rosie walking around the entrance of the station before lying down by the doors.

Stunned officers checked her collar, which had her owner’s name and number on it, then called to let her know that Rosie was safe.
