The plane was flying from Frankfurt to Detroit via London and New York while over the Scottish town of Lockerbie a bomb was detonated aboard the plane called Clipper Maid of the Seas. Eleven of the town's residents on the ground were also killed by falling debris, bringing the death toll to 270. After the bombing, Lorraine was one of the TV reporters to arrive on the scene and witnessed the horrific aftermath. She's spoken out about that time of her life before, admitting she still 'sees the bodies' of Lockerbie victims. Speaking about her memories of the horrific event, Lorraine said: 'I do sometimes get flashbacks. I still see the bodies. Lorraine said: 'We got right up to the nose of the plane in the field. We were there before the police had put barriers up. 'It was terrible. There were lots of bodies, some of them were still in their seats. It was awful.' In the new documentary Lorraine, who hadn't returned since the crash, meets residents of Lockerbie. She hears how the residents attempted to make sense of what happened, as well as asking whether the event had a more profound impact on her life than she'd imagined. Lorraine has previously told how she 'cried' on Christmas Day following the tragedy. She explained that her father had come to pick her up, and in "typical working class" style asserted that his daughter wouldn't' want to talk about it.
