Lok’nStore prepares to open extra doors as its prices rise

People seeking to put items into self-storage are set to have more choice but higher prices as demand for the industry’s services continue to rise.

Lok’nStore, a leading provider of storage units to business and household customers, said yesterday that its pricing per square foot of occupied space, a key industry metric, had risen by 6.8 per cent in the year to the end of July. Total self-storage revenue at the Aim-listed group was 5.3 per cent higher, while revenue at established units open for at least one year rose by 12.1 per cent.
