It said there were “no signs of pollution yet” but the situation would be monitored.According to BirminghamLive, a spokesman tweeted: “Factory Lock No 3 on the New Main Line Canal in Tipton is closed as a car is in the lock. We’re working on a plan to get this removed as quickly as possible. There are no signs of pollution yet but we will continue to monitor.”The trust also revealed the locks at Wolverhampton had been vandalised over the weekend. It said the locks had been drained, after vandals opened all of its 21 locks, stopping its natural flow of water and causing flooding on Coxwell Road, outside Wolverhampton Science Park.”We’re working with the local police to step up patrols,” the trust tweeted. “We are currently refilling the locks but this is likely to take most of the day.”
