However, Messi revealed that they had already parted with one family pet this year. He went on to explain that their beloved Hulk had stayed behind at their home in the exclusive suburb of Castelldefels, just outside of Barcelona. The Bordeaux Mastiff breed have an expected life span of between five to eight years and so the pet has now reached old age. Going into more detail about what Messi said to him, Granados said: "I asked him where that bull was and he told me, 'He's in Barcelona, Hulk is there. He is a little old. So, we had to leave him in the house we have there in Barcelona'." The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner will have been particularly devastated to have left Hulk behind, especially given his closeness to the dog in the past.
