Hamilton said Verstappen had ‘delivered every weekend’ and had done ‘everything’ he needed to.In a reflective remark, Hamilton claimed he ‘knew what it feels like’ to be in Vertsappen’s position after the Red Bull star secured his second title this season. Speaking to Sky Sports F1, he said: ‘I can’t say that I’ve had time to study every aspect of what Max has done this year, but I think he’s done an amazing job.”He’s done everything that he had to do. The team provided him with an amazing car and he’s delivered pretty much every weekend.’He can be proud of the job that he’s done. I know what it feels to be in a position like that. He’s got a chance to win more races, the next two races, so he could take that record that he’s now taken even further if we can’t stop him, or Ferrari can’t stop him.”There’s not really much more to say, he’s done a great job.”READ MORE: Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen both guilty of being a ‘naughty boy’ Max Verstappen has been described as ‘amazing’ by Lewis Hamilton (Image: Getty / Sky Sports F1)The former title rivals have been unable to face off for the crown in 2022 due to Mercedes’ lack of pace.
