Lee Anderson under investigation for using roof of taxpayer-funded office to film TV show

The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards has opened a sleaze probe into the deputy Tory chairman after the Mirror revealed he had recorded a plug for his GB News show on the Parliamentary Estate

Tory loudmouth Lee Anderson is being investigated by Commons authorities after he used the rooftop of MPs’ taxpayer-funded offices to film a promo for his £100,000-a-year TV show.

The Conservative deputy chairman has begun hosting a weekly programme on GB News despite previously ranting about MPs taking second jobs.

The Mirror revealed last month that Mr Anderson had recorded a plug for the Friday night show on top of one of the buildings on the Parliamentary Estate.

The MP used the location overlooking Whitehall and Parliament Square for the clip in which he pleaded for viewers to get in contact with questions for him.
