Laura Whitmore vows to watch Love Island replacement Maya Jama after quitting

Former Love Island host Laura Whitmore has vowed to watch her replacement Maya Jama on the ITV2 show after she decided to quit the role after three years at the helm

Laura Whitmore has vowed to watch Maya Jama on the new series of Love Island after spectacularly quitting the role.

The ITV2 host bid farewell to her role as presenter of the iconic show, with Maya Jama set to take over hosting duties when the show makes its return. Laura has since made her West End debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story, and she admits it is similar to live TV.

Laura explained how she wanted to “challenge” herself with her new role. However, she vowed to tune in to watch the new series of Love Island when it returns with Maya Jama as the host.

Speaking to Christine Lampard on ITV’s Lorraine, she said: “There are some similarities to live TV slightly. There’s four main characters and we’re on stage together for most of it so it’s nice to have the support.
