She wrote online: "There are certain elements of the show I've found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects." But later the mum-of-one, who is married to show narrator Iain Stirling, delved deeper. On the Distraction Pieces podcast Laura said: "I had to also think about it for my own mental health side, because I love the show, but it comes with a lot of s**t. "It's a bit exhausting and it's tough. I saw when Caroline Flack worked on the show what she got every year and I never knew how she handled it. I always thought, 'Jesus, she's so strong.'" In Laura's new show Date Night, singles will look for love using a bespoke app from the comfort of their sofas, alongside their friends and family. They will swipe through options on their TV screens then can consult with their nearest and dearest on how to craft the perfect messages. If they make it to a real life date, every look, flirtatious comment, and awkward remark will be beamed back to that same TV screen for the friends and families to view back home.
