Lady Gaga said creating her own make-up brand Haus Labs has been âincredibly healing’ after years of feeling insecure when she was younger
Lady Gaga has revealed the simple yet effective way she gives herself a boost of confidence every morning.
The 37-year-old pop superstar launched her Haus Labs make-up brand in 2019, and admitted she uses cosmetics to make her feel good after years of feeling insecure when she was younger. Gaga explained that her self-care routine was “an extension of my skincare from the morning,” and told E! News it gives her an “extra boost of confidence.” “I feel I’m able to brave whatever is coming my way because I’ve really taken time for myself,” she added.
Gaga said applying makeup was a “healing practice”, and said her routine was impacted by the struggles she faced as an “insecure teenager” in high school. But after discovering make-up she realised she had the “power to transform who I was”, and used it to figure out who she really was. “I realised that I had more of an ability to speak up for myself,” the Oscar winner noted. “And it had more to do with how I felt and not how I looked.”
