PSG are optimistic they can persuade their star forward to sign a new deal with a guaranteed exit clause that means he cannot leave for free
Kylian Mbappe will not be sold this summer after being reintegrated into the Paris Saint-Germain first-team.
Given PSG have insisted that the France captain will not be allowed to leave for free next year it suggests there is growing optimism he will sign a new contract.
Mbappe’s current deal expires in 2024 and there has been a damaging stand-off between him and PSG who believe he already has an agreement in place to join Real Madrid without a fee being paid.
PSG have insisted that Mbappe will not be allowed to run down his contract and therefore put him up for sale. They also excluded him from their pre-season tour to Japan and South Korea and ordered him to train with the ‘loft’ group which is made up of players who are no longer wanted.
