Kristina and Ben met when they were partnered up on the 11th series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. They share a daughter named Mila together, who they welcomed in 2016. Kristina also has a role as step-mum to Ben's twin daughters Harriet and Isabelle, who he shares with his ex-wife Abby. The couple were enjoying the crystal clear waters and gorgeous beaches of the Maldives when the proposal happened. Kristina and Ben took a boat to a neighbouring island before she noticed a lantern-lit heart along with the question "Will you marry me?" written in the sand.
