Kremlin accuses Royal Navy of being behind ‘terrorist attack’ on Nord Stream

The UK government has rubbished wild claims from the Kremlin that the Royal Navy was involved in the Nord Stream explosion.

Finger-pointing continues over mysterious blasts which tore apart seabed pipes carrying gas from Russia to Germany on September 26.

Western governments are confident sabotage is at play, though conclusive evidence for who was responsible has not been publicly shared. 

Vladimir Putin has previously made it clear he’ll use Europe’s energy dependency as leverage this winter but denies he directed the attack and has previously accused the US of involvement.
