King concerned Prince Harry’s biography to ‘dilute message’ of royals

King Charles III is “genuinely worried” about the impact Prince Harry’s upcoming biography could have on his attempts to establish himself as the new monarch, Daily Express’s royal correspondent Richard Palmer noted. The book, titled Spare, is due for release on January 10, 2023 – the same day as the Princess of Wales’s 41st birthday and mere months before the Coronation. Speaking to The Royal Round Up, Mr Palmer said royal quarters have concerns the publication of the book could “dilute” attempts to set a clear agenda for the new king.Mr Palmer said: “I think they’re genuinely worried about it.”If you’re planning a big announcement, if you’re planning an overseas tour, whatever, and this gets in the way, it completely dilutes your message and everything you stand for. if you’re not careful. I think there’s genuine worry.”We were talking last week about The Crown – they won’t say anything publicly if they can possibly avoid it, but it’s the last thing they want at all.”Prince Harry has already sparked widespread debate over his choice to name his memoir Spare – a reference to the saying “the heir and the spare.”JUST IN: Harry ‘pleaded with pals and ex-lovers to open up on him for memoir’ – but ‘most said no’ The King is “genuinely worried” about Harry’s biography (Image: GETTY) The King has had a strained relationship with Prince Harry for years (Image: GETTY)While experts previously suggested the Duke of Sussex might seek to tone down some aspects of his memoir in the aftermath of the Queen’s death, the release of the title’s information fuelled concerns of further bombshell allegations rocking the Royal Family.Royal biographer Angela Levin noted the book could serve as an attempt by Prince Harry to portray his upbringing as much harder than in reality.Ms Levin said: “He wasn’t treated like a spare.
