King Charles is reportedly never going to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their title as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex no matter what happens, according to claims from a royal expert
King Charles will not strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their royal titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex no matter what happens in the future, according to a royal expert.
According to a source close to the Palace, King Charles will not remove these titles as a special gift from Queen Elizabeth II. Author Robert Jobson, who wrote Our King Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed shared with the Daily Express that even if Meghan were to become President, her title being removed is “just not going to happen.”

When Prince Harry and Meghan made the announcement they planned to step back from their royal duties back in 2020, they initially asked if it would be possible to do a half-in-half-out situation. But Queen Elizabeth II immediately shut down this idea, and told the couple that they would need to be all-in or nothing – an ultimatum in which the couple decided to choose nothing. As a result in 2021, the monarch stripped them of their honorary royal patronages and military appointments.
