The episode was filmed the day after their divorce was finalised in November. When Kim was emptying out the unit, she shared she was feeling 'at peace' with the decision. The 42-year-old TV star said: "There's so many amazing things that came out of my marriage and my divorce. I've kept every single Yeezy. For me, I think this is me holding on to the Kanye I know." Despite all of the controversy and hardship Kim experienced throughout the divorce, she says that she would never take back any of it. While digging through the unit she couldn't help but feel nostalgic, describing the mix of items as a "time capsule" of the best times they had together. Kim shared that her former husband told her to burn his items, but she couldn't help but hold onto them as a keepsake for her children so they could enjoy the pieces of their father. In the episode, the mother-of-four says: "The reality is life is really different, and when you know it can never get back there — that's what sucks, and that's what's hard" and adds: "But my kids will have the best memories and this will be the best tribute for them." Kim said although she's going to keep some of the items for memory sake, she knows that she has to let go a lot of it too.
