 Katharine McPhee has cancelled her upcoming performances in Asia following a 'horrible family tragedy'. The Terrified singer was due to perform in Jakarta alongside her husband, David Foster, 73, during his current tour. However, the 39-year-old has since shared a post on Instagram, explaining that she was unable to appear as planned. In a message for fans in Jakarta, the star – who shares son Rennie with the Wildflower musician – penned: 'It is with a heavy heart that I announce that I have to miss our final two shows of our Asia run. 'David and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us needs to get back home to our family. 'Please know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return someday and perform for you all.' Katharine didn't share any further details on the tragedy, but was supported by a string of famous faces in the comments below. Linda Thompson posted: 'Sending you and David love, & hoping that everything is OK.' Nicole Scherzinger agreed: 'Sending my love and prayers for your family.' Although Katharine is returning home, her partner will still be completing the Asia leg of his tour as planned. He will be taking to the stage tonight at Jakarta's Sentul International Convention Centre, with his final date tomorrow.
