Kate ‘reminds world’ how she ‘saved monarchy’

Kate, has been lauded by a royal expert after a new clip of her shows how she ‘has saved, and continues to save, the monarchy’. The Princess of Wales was at Colham Manor Children’s Centre in Hillingdon which she was visiting in her role as patron of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance.A video of Kate emerged at the centre which shows the royal stopping to speak to a three-year-old Akeem. After Akeem asked her her name, the princess simply said, ‘My name is Catherine,’ and then, gesturing at her Remembrance Day poppy pinned to her coat, asked him; ‘Have you got a poppy? Would you like mine? You can have my poppy. Shall I see if I can get this out?’She then removed the pin and asked the little boy: ‘Is your teacher here or your mummy? Is your mummy here? Shall I give her the pin in case she wants it?’The video was shared on social media, and was praised by royal expert Daniela Elser who said it was ‘adorable and heart-melting’. But, once everyone has stopped making ‘awww …’ sounds, let’s consider what this moment really drives home, and that is; how stuffed the royal family would be without Kate.’Think about it. Imagine, just for a moment, that Prince William had picked some other university girlfriend, say some aristocrat with a triple-barrelled surname, a burning passion for all things equine and whose family could trace their lineage back to the Doomsday Book, to be his wife. ‘Sure, she’d probably turn up and shake hands with a certain stolid dependability like a certain new Queen we all know, but she would not have that elusive, rare star quality that Kate does.’READ MORE: Meghan and Harry ‘crawling back’ to UK in doubt over ‘sign of failure’ Daniela Elser said it shows how ‘she has saved, and continues to save, the monarchy’ (Image: GETTY)Royal fans also gushed over the clip, posted by Sky News’ Rhiannon Mills on Twitter.User @Ben1Jam said: ‘Catherine is a complete natural with children.’Another user, @brigantia__, added: ‘Oh what a beautiful little boy. Princess Catherine is so kind.’User @MissJaniceGree1 also said: ‘This is why we love our Princess of Wales, absolutely beautiful moment.’ ‘The video proves that this is exactly the sort of moment that royal aides must fantasise about’ (Image: GETTY)It comes after royal biographer Angela Levin claimed William and Kate are ‘very upset’ about comments made by Mike Tindall on ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.Ms Levin said: ‘What’s persuaded him? Is it because he’s bored and wants to have some fun? Is it because he’s desperate to earn more money?”I think it brings the Royal Family into disrepute. I don’t think it’s the right thing to say that when he and Zara met they both discovered they like to get smashed.’On the show, Mike told fellow campmates about how he and Zara met, and said: ‘I was at the World Cup, she was out watching.’I got dropped from the semi-final. I was pissed off and so I went for a beer with another guy who got dropped and a guy who was over [in Sydney]. They’d met her before and they introduced us and then got chatting.”He added: ‘First actual date, just went out for lunch locally. And ended up being quite a boozy one. Then we figured out that we both quite like getting smashed. It was a good start.” Kate could be given an ‘unprecedented’ role in the Royal Family by King Charles III (Image: EXPRESS)It was also reported in October that Kate could be given an ‘unprecedented’ role in the Royal Family by King Charles III.According to the Mirror, royal sources have suggested that he’s planning to make some major changes to his Counsellors of State and may even bring Kate into the fold.A palace source told the publication: ‘No one will be excluded. The pool of Counsellors of State will be expanded, this is for purely practical reasons.”As the King and Queen Consort are likely to be away, as could the Prince and Princess of Wales, it is only right this is attended to.”
