The Princess of Wales shared a moving moment with a Ukrainian mum who fled the war-torn country with her family and just a few pieces of clothing.
Kate told Galina Bolebrukh, 39, ‘I wish we could do more’ as she paid tribute to the ‘bravery’ of Ukrainian families while visiting Reading Ukrainian Community Centre.
Galina shared her story with the royal after arriving in the UK with her mother Iryne and three-year-old son Renat, while her husband stayed to fight off Russians.
Placing her hand on her heart, Kate said: ‘Everything you’ve experienced is so understandable.’
