Jurgen Klopp responds to claims Liverpool want to loan Kylian Mbappe

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Jurgen Klopp has laughed off suggestions Liverpool are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a sensational loan move for contract rebel Kylian Mbappe.

The France international is refusing to trigger a one-year extension clause in his contract and has made it clear he intends to leave on a free transfer next year, with PSG believing he already has an agreement in place to join Real Madrid.

But the French champions are refusing to entertain the possibility of losing Mbappe – who cost £150m when he signed from Monaco five years ago – for nothing and are exploring their options this summer.

Saudi side Al-Hilal made a world-record £259m bid last week that PSG were prepared to accept, but the 24-year-old has declined the move despite being offered a staggering one-year contract that could have netted him £11.6m a week.
